COEKG is an independent project supervised by the Boulder County Medical Society to provide unbiased, nonprofit oversight and guidance for the development of an EKG exchange service for critical patients.
COEKG aims to facilitate connectivity between healthcare entities. We strive to assist with the standardization of data exchange so health care consumers and providers can securely and reliably access point-of-care clinical information. We share the ambitions of colleagues but our singular mission concerns the EKG. Ultimately, interconnectivity should expand to the entire electronic health record, but the most critical, short term issue will be secure EKG exchange among Colorado's Emergency Departments and Community Health Clinics.
